Arbitrary 02:13
ARBITRARY Leave me be I’m somewhere in-between Picking at my wounds again Why do scabs itch so bad Lost in thin air In the morning mist A stage left for the play I walk in the park Just after dark When the light Finds the corners Of a neuroreceptor In a black-green field An arbitrary life...

MORE THAN DIRT Another year stalking me like a stranger I woke up late and saw the terror on your face A nightmare to compliment the next week But it’s home stretch now, in a wreckage So I keep to myself Sticks and stones may break your bones But there’s some things worse than death Like living in this mess No time to take out the garbage Out with the truth and in with the ego I saw your face, it said the things that you couldn’t say i want to take away this baron grave And fill it with more than dirt My baggage made of lead If this is living then why do I feels so dead it’s all down hill from here I’m coasting, running on empty-Like a shell, I’m a fucking nut Sticks and stones may break your bones But there’s some things worse than death Like living in this mess No time to take out the garbage Out with the truth and in with the ego I waive goodbye to the years I’ve left behind Not pausing for another look...

Quiet 03:57
IT’S QUIET If I could paint the sky A bluer hue And the clouds more white Then you ever knew If I could give you a star To shine through your heart Maybe then you'd see What your are Until then I'll be waiting at the dock touching the water with my empty arms It's quiet now that your gone I try to smile But it feels wrong And someone would say It’s not your fault Just don’t look back It’s only Yesterday A letdown down and out shouts echo in silence I look down at the lake Can almost feel the flames A stain engraved But who am I to gage? My stomach turns My head estranged But hope is still waiting to trample out the flames

Stare Well 02:38
STARE WELL The walls are closing in I’m sinking till the railway’s just a blur They slowly fade away Searching for a will Through the rhythms of earthquakes Rumbling beneath my feet But everything is alright Just breath out the fumes inside And take in the blessing Of a blue moon morning The crisp air leaves a footprint In the grave Leading nowhere But the place it stepped Throw the keys on the floor Stare at the stairwell Is this all there is?

Same motif 02:42
SAME MOTIF I wrote this same song a hundred times before Because every day it feels the same My memory starts to blur-like your face The fragments I keep, scared That I’ll loose them in-between It’s just the way I know-This is all I know! Autodidactic, superstitious of your suspicious ways I hate enough to kill, but I love enough to die Oh pardon me, happiness, peace and prosperity Nostalgia nestled deep within the crushing bones that grind each time the hand bends twice inside the gears are ticking every second, every hour, every minute, every day it’s sad but I love them just the same when we’re gone this will be the same but you and I will never be the same…

Retro spec 03:37
A RETRO SPEC I never knew Reagan but I felt the beat Of Emerson speeches and suburban dreams Night walking on cardboard heavens Sharing this spectacle With the ones that stand next to me It’s been a wonderful time Under the city lights sparkling With you and the crowds are cheering loudly forever shouting Transients like lightening Something in the world that has made me Edison’s dreams lighting suburban streets Night walking on cardboard heavens Sharing this spectacle With the one that stands next to me On the dark concrete It’s been a wonderful time Under the city lights sparking with you in my arms Holding tightly forever smiling Something in a spec Left behind me

SELL ME A MOMENT Sell me a moment One worth buying A historical moment One worth die for Cause something is worth Something to someone One man’s scar Is another’s treasure Let’s make this last forev…

Sleeves 03:32
SLEEVES I wear my heart on my sleeve So I know where to find it And there it waits For what’s set in motion Tends to stay in motion You just have to pay attention! If you don’t like me I don’t like you There’s plenty of room outside! I’d be happy to abide Or snap into a CATASTROPHIC collide! So I take my stance In the infinite variables In this time table You just have to take a chance! Like boiling water! We rise from the heat That melts you down Into a sterile breed! But long after the kettle screams! And I ferment! When it all falls into place…

Blind Larvae 04:07
BLIND LARVAE Cut off the head and let the rest squirm about Looking for a route The blind larva lies in longing Little more than a particle of matter but just a little bit sadder There’s nothing to do but feed the bladder now it’s getting fatter Bigger it grows consuming everything it knows conceiving a head of it’s own The eye it conceives now perceives it’s all alone Wondering what it’s been eating It sees it’s missing a bone

Glass Walls 03:18
GLASS WALLS From the marching crowd To the solitary lonely and depressed To the contradictions Restless in my head Like me an eager rodent Spinning my wheel I wait for my pill How does it feel to watch me Behind the glass Can’t you feel that empathy? Still, you won’t let me free And the operating light Looks like heaven This is the end And you’re here with me Like you with eager fingers Closing the lid You look so vibrant Behind the mask Can you see divinity? What is it that you seek?

Balloon 02:42
BALLOON There’s nothing like the time I saw you find yourself When you lost yourself In that moment you smiled It’s something you’ll forget but you’ll always have it and nothing can stop it But the breaking of awkward silence You’re smashing bottles You lost control again I wait for life to reach your face and light Can’t help but kiss the tips of your lips with warm embrace You found your spot on the top of my chest Through the worst and the best Hanging on to the rest It’s something you’ll forget but you’ll always have it and nothing can stop it but the breaking of awkward silence You’re smashing bottles You lost control again Fill this balloon with our breath and hope that it’s enough to take us up

Last Words 02:41
LAST WORDS I have a few last words to say But I’ve lost my tongue There might not be another day I want to get drunk But am I too big to run? I think I’ve done enough growing up I have a few last things to do Like go and see you I think we both grew Do you want to stand? Just hold my hand I want to see you run again Is it too much to ask that you’re here? I think that’s all I have to give Don’t catch yourself up in fear Know what it takes to live

about

In the sea of cookie cutter bands, September Begins delivers a refreshing taste of originality. There aren't too many Art Punk Bands out there, and most aren't palatable for repeated listening. Arbitrary is an album worth repeated listens: It will give you something to chew on.

Imploding drums, and scorching riffs that sever the spine and leave the listener in a cerebral trance. A steam punk masterpiece, imagination takes the lead of the physical vessel of cerebral instrumentation. Don't miss this literary device, driven by the fear of life.
